Holland Center Mission Statement

The Holland Center was established to help bring advanced technology to the economically disadvantaged citizens of Southern Perry County in Appalachian Ohio.

It is dedicated to providing the residents of the region with free basic and advanced computer training for the purpose of helping improve technological skills. It encourages youth arts with a collaboration with Southern Perry County Youth Arts and Media (SPiCYAM); small business with a collaboration with Southern Perry Incubation Center for Entrepreneurs (SPICE); and local heritage, with a collaboration with Little Cities of Black Diamonds Council.

Through an SBC Ameritech grant and matching funds from local resident Bob Holland, the Holland Center has been open to the public since June 2002, and has been committed to serving the public. Individuals may come and take part in scheduled classes or just come and use the computer lab for whatever needs they have. Local students use the center for Homework Assistance and Tutoring provided by staff.

The Holland Center is dedicated towards strengthening and improving the community for the benefit of all its citizens through education, the arts, business and heritage.
